Overview:
This course is crafted to empower experienced healthcare professionals and current PSWs. Its primary focus is to refine your existing expertise, bridge knowledge gaps, and integrate your skills within the Canadian caregiving context.
Who Can Attend:
- For Experienced PSWs: A comprehensive refresher.
- For Internationally Trained Healthcare Professionals: Integrate skills into the Canadian context.
- For Healthcare Workers/Caregivers Without a PSW Diploma: Fill critical skill gaps.
Duration & Structure:
- Duration: Seven-week course
- Structure: Hybrid learning (in-class and online)
Requirements:
- Professional Experience: (You must meet one of the following)
- Be an internationally trained healthcare professional.
- Have a minimum of six months of experience working as a PSW.
- Possess experience as a healthcare worker or caregiver in Canada.
English Proficiency:
Minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) English level 4.

Overview:
This foundational course is designed for individuals entering the caregiving field without prior healthcare experience. It equips you with the essential practical skills and confidence needed to begin a rewarding career as a home support worker or caregiver assistant in Ontario.
Who Can Attend:
- Individuals with no prior healthcare background.
- Those not eligible for the PSW Skills Enhancement Course.
- Anyone looking to start a new career as a caregiver assistant.

- Duration: Seven-week course
- Structure: Hybrid learning (in-class and online)
Requirements:
English Proficiency:
Minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) English level 4.
